We have Child Support worker roles available within a residential service supporting young people with emotional behavioural difficulties. The service supports young people ages 8-18 years old with emotional and social difficulties to continue their education.
Job title: Residential Childcare Practitioner
Location: West Lothian
Pay: £14 per hour
Length of role: Initial 3 month full time contract, likely to be extended
Responsibilities:
- Working with young people who have experienced challenges in their lives by offering a wide range of services to support their individual needs.
- Supporting the YPs you support to build positive nurturing relationships.
- Providing the best possible environment and service for the children and young people
- This exciting role will support the engagement and participation of young people in a wide range of activities that support their life journey and improve their life chances.
About you
- Have 6 months previous experience working in a residential setting with young people
- Have flexibility in the roles undertaken
- Have strong communication skills
- Register under the PVG scheme
- Full driving license
- Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
