Public Services Lecturer

Reed Further Education are searching for a lecturer in Public Services to work with a college on a temporary basis. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching to students from Level 1 to Level 3, preparing them for qualifications under BTEC/Pearson and NCFE exam boards. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the educational experience and achieving excellent student outcomes.

The college has a 15 hour and 12 hour timetable with the working times as follows:

Monday: 08:50 - 12:10, Wednesday: 13:10 - 16:30, Thursday: 08:50 - 09:50 and 13:10 - 16:30, Friday: 08:50 - 12:10 and 14:20 - 16:30 - 15 hours

Monday: 08:50 - 12:10, Wednesday: 13:10 - 16:30, Thursday: 08:50 - 09:50 and 13:10 - 14:10, Friday: 10:00 - 12:10 and 14:20 - 15:30 - 12 hours

Job Title: Public Services Lecturer

Location: Halesowen

Salary: £28p/h - £35p/h including holiday pay

Role Type: Temporary until 20th December 2024

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lectures to students in Public Services from Level 1 to Level 3.
  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials based on the curriculum requirements.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, assessments, and grades.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a relevant degree/ qualification in Public Services or a related field.
  • Prior teaching experience in Public Services or a related subject is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with BTEC/Pearson and NCFE exam boards is desirable.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
