Our client is an award-winning specialist rubber engineering company based in Batley, West Yorkshire. Due to the expansion of their Product Division, they are seeking an ambitious Sales Executive to join their team. As a Sales Executive, you will work directly with the Sales and Marketing Manager to implement sales strategies that will help the company achieve its objectives.

This is an office-based role, and you will be required to work from their office in Batley from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of this role, you need a full driving licence and be comfortable driving a company car to attend meetings with clients.

They offer a competitive starting salary of £24,000, which will increase to £26,000 after successfully completing a 6-month probation. In addition to the salary, they offer a 5% sales commission. Before you apply, please refer to the job responsibilities and requirements below.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Proactively reach out to existing and new clients to promote the company's offerings and ensure sales targets are met (cold calls, social media messages, email campaigns, in-person meetings, etc.).
  • Actively participate in exhibitions and conferences attended by the company.
  • Build and maintain healthy relationships with clients.
  • Process Sales on the Sales database and update sales related admin including maintaining the CRM (Hubspot).
  • Conduct market research and perform competitor analysis to stay up to date with the industry trends.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure that the orders are dispatched on time.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Executive or a similar position in the Sales or Marketing Department is required.
  • Knowledge of Rubber Engineering Industry is preferred, but not essential.
  • Understanding of Customer Relationship Management Software is required.
  • Being commercially aware.
  • Being a result-driven and well-organised individual.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding project management skills and great attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work towards targets.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good negotiation and sales skills.
