Job Role
As a key member of the finance team, you will work closely with the Financial Controller and the rest of the Finance & Commercial Team, to enable the effective day-to-day running of the finance function and to provide the best possible financial support to the broader business.
JOB TITLE: Accountant
REPORTS TO: Financial Controller
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Update weekly cash report
- Ownership of capex trackers
- Assisting the Financial Controller in the monthlyclosing (accruals/ prepayment/ leases)
- Inventory close and trackers/ stock losses/ Inventory depreciation annually
- Supporting the FC in monthly B/S sheet reconciliation
- Monthly intercos reconciliation
- Ecom and retail reconciliations
- Booking of Credit cards expensesand Travel expenses(Concur)
- Supporting the FCon the Financial IT systems
- Back up of Financeassistant
- Supporting monthly analysis by meeting ad hoc requests (analysis of costs by cost center or department or Projects)
- VAT
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE,
- Experience working within Retail
- Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a busy environment
- Computer literate with an aptitude for numbers
- Proven record of understand of financial system
- Comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping and accountancy procedures
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts
- Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
