About the Business
We are recruiting for a people based business with a strong reputation for high quality service. The role would be perfect for someone looking to gain direct experience in management and financial control. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you will be producing and reviewing financial statements, tax computations and supporting tasks.
Working Pattern
This is a great hybrid working pattern based in Lichfield with only one day a week in the office, but a chance to go in more often if you want, as it's a large busy office. The business has a finance team of 50+.
Main Duties
- Managing three direct reports
- Being the key point of contact for the external auditors
- Maintaining effective balance sheet controls to drive best practice
- Producing group consolidation financial statements and legal entity financial statements, corporation tax computations and quarterly condensed financial statements
- Keeping up to date with accounting standards to support technical accounting
- On-going maintenance of the fixed asset register, IFRS16 leases and intercompany balances
- Involvement in ad hoc projects such as integration of acquisitions or system improvements
- Supporting various teams within Finance
Location / Office / Culture
The role is based in Lichfield and is surrounded by an enthusiastic, knowledgeable team with great, supportive management. The office is very flexible offering only one day in office a week and the rest from home.
What We Are Looking For
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Excellent written, verbal and communications skills
- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Someone highly analytical
