Retail technology POS Help Desk Support

This is a lovely classic RETAIL TECHNICAL SUPPORT role in which you will use your technical knowledge of POS systems to support retail clients. The job hybrid with 3 days in the office a week . This is NOT a call centre role and instead focuses on personal contact and taking care, time and effort to help your customers with wherever they need. TITLE :RETAIL POS Technical Help Desk (1st-3rd line support )
Office LOCATION: Hybrid role (3 days in the office. 2 days are wfh) .
Location Buckinghamshire
On site Car Parking Available
Language needed: English (fluent). Other languages are always helpful
Salary : up to £35,000 (+ 10% bonus**=£38,500**) and 5 weeks holiday ( there are plenty of other excellent benefits including free carparking )

COMPANY DETAILS Retail stores that use Point of Sales till systems
SHIFTS : A nice , classic 37.5 hour week on a shift system
Shifts cover 7am-6.30 Monday -Friday on a rota system .
Occasional weekends shifts (all wfh) on a rota basis (1 week in 3). OVERTIME IS PAID
DUTIES : Join this happy international Tech Support team that is often praised by customers. The team is very supportive of each other, and you will get to know customers very well personally. You will need to have an interest and passion for IT as well as good knowledge of POS retail technology

  • Taking your time to provide customer support to clients in Europe
  • Able to provide technical support on the phone and via email regarding POS hardware and software
  • Manage and coordinate all training enquiries
  • Dealing with product queries
  • Provide support documentation to customers.
  • Logging and resolving any technical issues such as logging-on
  • Reporting and managing escalations
  • Helping to set up printers and laptops
  • Liaising with engineers in the field
  • Undertake technical and digital support over the phone from 1st line to 3rd line support

REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical experience working with retail POS hardware & software
  • Able to install & connect printers to laptops
  • Ideally experience with ParTech or similar software
