What's the role?
As the Technical Product Manager for Mobile Monitoring and Notifications, you will be primarily responsible for owning, setting direction and executing the product strategy for how Bloomberg Professional App users manage their mobile workflows with financial data and notifications. Mobile functionality such as Worksheets, Security Page and Home are the core functionality to the app and clients rely on these to stay on top of market events and to monitor positions. Notifications are another core way clients stay on top of what they care about most and can be set across a wide range of functionality, from news, prices to communications.
The role requires close collaboration within the Mobile Product, Engineering, and UX teams and establishing effective partnerships with other Bloomberg Terminal product owners and engineers. You will be actively engaging with senior stakeholders to validate and iterate on product strategies and to identify new opportunities. You will also be responsible for working with existing infrastructure and frameworks that keeps our Apple and Android apps up to date with advancements in iOS, iPadOS, visionOS and Android.
We will trust you to:
- Work closely within the Mobile Team to develop and execute the mobile monitoring and notification roadmap.
- Have a deep understanding of the wider Bloomberg product offering to develop mobile solutions that will meet the needs of our clients both internal and external.
- Build strong relationships with Terminal product and engineering owners and other key stakeholders.
- Build a partnership with Mobile engineering and UX/VX to ensure that we are developing the best possible solutions in the most efficient manner.
- Keep up to date with changes/enhancements to iOS/iPadOS/visionOS and Android and with the rapidly changing mobile app landscape.
You need to have:
- 5+ years of deep software product management experience, preferably with financial market products.
- A track record of collaboratively creating a product vision and roadmap, investigating trade-offs of approaches, prioritizing at macro and micro levels, and release management.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to work across teams and to break down large, complex business problems into discrete, achievable steps.
- Prior experience with mobile products is preferred but not a requirement.
