About the Role
Base Location: Aberdeen / Aberdeenshire
Salary: £26,609 - £30,472 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
As a Driver, you'll be responsible for:
- Collecting and delivering chapter 8 (rigid plastic barriers and road signs) from highway and private sites.
- Ensuring depots are replenished with chapter 8 to enable teams to undertake excavation works whilst liaising with colleagues to ensure North & South depots have sufficient chapter 8.
- Undertaking driving duties and working under street works conditions, assisting line teams using 4X4's, vans, lorries / HIAB cranes to install various plant and apparatus on our network.
- Delivering materials to sites, ad hoc and undertaking any other related ad hoc tasks as required.
What do I need?
We are looking for individuals with enthusiasm and drive with a flexible approach to work and an ability to adapt to changing business and project priorities.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- A full driving licence, HGV may be an advantage but not a requirement, previous experience in the utilities sector and NRSWA certificate would be an advantage.
- Forklift certificate would be preferred but again training can be provided.
- Ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team, reporting and raising risks or challenges to managers where necessary.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to build effective working relationships will be paramount.
- Ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
