Job Title: Operations Director
Location: London / Essex
Salary: >£120,000 + Package
Our client is the UK's leading passive fire protection specialist, supplying a comprehensive range of third-party accredited survey, installation and compliance services to public and private sector organisations across the country.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting and informing the CEO on operational activity and progress
- Overseeing a number of service, sector, businesses delivering passive fire services
- Supporting and developing staff towards successful business growth
- Driving people development at all levels
- Leading operational and commercial input to win large strategic opportunities
- Ensuring a professional service is provided to clients from initial enquiry through to certification
- Ensuring high health and safety and quality standards
- Taking full responsibility for the hub P&L managing budgeted overhead and delivering profitable contracts
- Innovating and implementing business improvement through your input to the SMT and other Operational forums
- Implementing company-wide strategic objectives
- Ensuring control and governance through clear delegation, responsibility, reporting, and checks
Experience:
- Construction experience operating at Director level for a main contractor
- Membership of a professional body e.g. MCIOB/MICE/RIBA, RICS, etc (preferred)
- A good understanding of construction methods and technology including materials
- Proven proactive knowledge of the management of health, safety, and environment
- Passive fire protection experience (desirable)
- A proven track record in winning and delivering high quality, safe and profitable contracts
- Directing Safely or equivalent
- ILM Level 5 or equivalent Leadership
- Ability to foresee and manage business risk
