HR Administrative Assistant
- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (until December 2024)
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to our HR function during a period of growth and change. This role is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of HR operations in an esteemed educational setting, working closely with the Recruitment Officer and HR Officer – Compliance. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational and communication skills and thrive in a team environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Act as a point of contact for candidate queries and maintain accurate records of the recruitment and selection process.
- Assist with arranging and supervising interviews, including closing adverts, collating applications, and escorting candidates.
- Administer assessment tasks and build effective working relationships with hiring managers.
- Maintain the CMS to ensure accurate records of recruitment campaigns and communicate outcomes.
- Assist with onboarding new starters and conducting pre-employment checks, escalating concerns as necessary.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team and contribute to the maintenance of accurate records, including the HR database and Single Central Record.
- Handle telephone enquiries and visitors, referring to other HR team members when needed.
- Assist with management information reporting on HR metrics.
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven administrative and organisational skills.
- Previous HR or recruitment experience is advantageous, or a strong interest in pursuing HR as a career.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
- A commitment to the safeguarding of students.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
