Chief People Officer

I am delighted to be working with an international environmental NGO that works with businesses and cities worldwide to ensure a sustainable future for all of us. The organisation is building the future of their business and are appointing a Chief People Officer to ensure that their people are at the forefront of this exciting and influential organisation.

My client is routed in the data space of environmental assessment and performance and is looking for a CPO with international experience and prior experience working within a data, tech or sustainability sector.

The role...

As Chief People Officer you will be responsible for the people and culture leadership and align the people strategy to the global business objectives and ambitions. You will work with local communities across the global role and support senior leaders on people matters. You will lead a team of 27 globally dispersed HR professionals with 6 direct reports.

As a strategic HR leader you will be driving the HR initiative across globally to support the businesses mission, international expansion and remote team integration. You will oversee and guide your HR team and ensure a successful implementation of new and improved HR processes. Where needed you will be comfortable taking on a hands-on approach.

This role sits at Board level and works with the C-Suite of the business to ensure they are guided, coached and supported with all HR matters and ensuring the people strategy creates and develops a high performing culture.

About you..

To be successful in this role you must already be working at a Senior Director or Chief People Officer level and currently working with the C-suite and sitting on the Board. This role is a newly appointed executive level position within HR therefore experience at this level is essential. Below are the essential areas of experience required within this role:

  • Executive level HR senior leadership within an International or Global business with dispersed workforces.
  • Sector experience - ideally technology, data or sustainability.
  • Excellent knowledge of labour laws across several countries (US, France, Germany, Singapore, India, China, Japan and Latin America)
  • Talent management, implementing global talent strategies both attract and retain
  • Business change, organisational design and organisational effectiveness
  • Worked within a similar size business of c700 or larger with a matrix operating model.

Salary: £180,000 - £220,000 + 20% bonus.
