A legal practice located on the Mersey docks in Birkenhead, Wirral, is seeking an experienced Head of Conveyancing to join their team. This firm offers an inspiring work environment and a unique opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking law firm.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a licensed conveyancer or qualified solicitor to lead the well-established Conveyancing division. The Head of Conveyancing will play a pivotal role in providing technical expertise, legal training, and overseeing complex matters while guiding an outstanding team. This role is perfect for a motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative and proactive setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision and Guidance: Provide supervision, advice, and guidance on technical and professional matters to ensure the highest standards of practice.
- Championing Best Practices: Promote best practices and case management standards, ensuring adherence to Lexcel and CQS criteria through regular file reviews and effective supervision.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and nurture relationships to support strategic growth objectives and expand the Conveyancing department and revenue streams.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work with senior management to devise and execute business strategies aimed at expanding the department.
- Performance and Reporting: Meet individual and collective billing targets while maintaining key performance indicators. Generate and present insightful reports on case holdings, turnover, billing, and client satisfaction.
- Training and Development: Deliver legal and best practice training to team members, maintaining a repository of template documents. Conduct departmental reviews, performance appraisals, and identify training needs for continuous improvement.
- Quality and Risk Management: Contribute to the firm's Lexcel and CQS accreditation through diligent adherence to quality standards. Supervise the team in line with established quality and risk management systems.
- Case Management: Manage a small case holding, ensuring excellence in service delivery.
