Robert Half are pleased to be working with this Wakefield based Food Manufacturer in the recruitment of a Management Accountant. The business are keen to find a candidate who has experience in a a FMCG environment. The role is being looked at on both a permanent and an interim basis.
About the Role
Ensure financial controls are maintained in the Supply Chain function of the Business.
Making sure correct control and governance in place across the factory and logistics, with reporting and transactional support from a Central Team.
Collaborate with Central Team to ensure key financial reporting is provided in a timely manner.
Tracking of key initiatives e.g. value engineering, major CapEx, waste/efficiency projects, restructuring plans etc
Provide daily reconciliations of inventory, providing basis for weekly stock reconciliation.
Prepare weekly and monthly analysis of packaging & ingredients, providing stock valuations, PPV analysis and wastage reporting.
Record and analyse logistics costs, both weekly and monthly, completing sundry overhead accruals and reconciliations.
We are looking for
Qualified Accountant or similar international qualification, with minimum 3 years post qualified experience.
Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience in a larger site(s) eg +400 employees
Demonstrates ability to see patterns and trends to gather insight from information.
Strong knowledge of financial control. Self-organised, self-motivated, action oriented and efficient.
Proactive with an enthusiasm and willingness to challenge.
Experience of system process improvements - able to develop new ways of working to streamline operations and remove non-value added activities.
Works effectively cross functionally and can influence without direct control.
Strong business acumen with ability to provide sound financial advice.
Works effectively with peer group and superiors, managing their expectations.
the role will require you to work on site at the clients offices minimum of 4 days in the week.
