Job Title: Receptionist- Administrator

Location: South Tees NHS Foundation Trust

Hours: 33.75 Monday to Friday (Flexible)

Trust Location: Friary Hospital, Queens Road, Richmond DL10 4UJ

What you'll be responsible for:

  1. Greet all patients and visitors attending the outpatient department in a polite, pleasant, and confident manner always.
  2. Respect patient confidentiality when checking patient demographic details with each patient being booked into a clinic.
  3. Print new labels and change details on identification sheets within the notes when patients disclose new demographic or GP details.
  4. Ensure demographic or GP details are always altered on computer as well as in the notes.
  5. Ensure every patient attending or failing to attend the clinic is marked up on the computer system and make sure episodes are closed for those patients who fail to attend unless the clinician requests a further appointment to be made.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively always complete your role to the highest standard
  3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

Skills:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload
  • Microsoft package knowledge - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • System knowledge

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
