My client is seeking a dedicated Financial and Data Support Specialist to enhance the financial and data aspects of our Customer Services department while providing valuable assistance to the Accounts team. This role is integral to managing credit control, reducing aged debt, and maintaining accurate financial and customer data.
This is a fully office-based position working Monday-Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8.30-3pm with one hour for lunch.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Manage Credit Control to ensure invoices are paid promptly.
- Minimise aged debt and maintain healthy cash flow.
- Conduct credit checks for all new customers and regularly review existing customer credit levels.
- Investigate anomalies in P&L and Balance Sheet, identify causes, and suggest solutions.
- Manage the entry of new customers and contacts into the system.
- Maintain up-to-date customer and contact details.
- Oversee the entry of new items and general upkeep of the system as required.
- Provide assistance to the Accounts department, especially during peak times such as the end of the month and year-end.
- Offer cover for the Accounts team during times of absence.
- Assist in the Customer Service department as needed, ensuring a high level of service is maintained.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in credit control and data management.
- Strong understanding of financial reports, including P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in financial software and CRM systems.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
