An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to become a subject matter expert in technical financial accounting. This role will lead a team of two, delivering all financial reporting services for a leading UK business. The successful candidate will demonstrate financial curiosity, analyse performance, and ensure that reporting is accurate and representative of actual performance. This position comes with an attractive salary range of £60,000 - £65,000 and is based in Northampton.
As a Finance Manager, you will be at the heart of our client's operations. You will take ownership of the month-end reporting process, consolidating financial performance for review and further analysis. Your role will involve delivering accurate and timely reporting for various aspects including provisions for liabilities, revenue recognition, and IFRS 16 lease accounting. You will also play a key role in the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and IFRS. Your ability to stay abreast of technical developments will be crucial in managing any changes that could impact financial performance. As our client's business continues to evolve and grow, your expertise will be instrumental in improving financial controls and processes.
You'll be/have:
- ACA/ACCA qualified.
- Highly commercial mindset with ability to challenge across the business
- Advanced expertise with Excel applications (interactive excel, macros)
- Dynamic, independent, creative and highly motivated individual who works well with non-financial colleagues
