We are a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school seeking a passionate and experienced Forest School Leader. Our mission is to support each child's unique learning journey through innovative and engaging educational experiences. The successful candidate will need to have a Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification and a strong commitment to enriching the lives of children with special educational needs through the power of outdoor learning.
Day to Day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging forest school sessions tailored to the needs of SEN students.
- Create a safe and inclusive outdoor learning environment that promotes exploration and discovery.
- Inspire a love for nature and the outdoors among students, encouraging environmental stewardship.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate forest school activities into the broader curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Ensure all forest school activities comply with health and safety regulations and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification.
- Proven experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of the principles and practices of forest school education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A passion for outdoor education and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
