Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: East London
Dayes: 3-4 days between Monday - Friday
Duration: Ongoing term time only from September 2024
The Learning Support Assistant Role:
- Supporting learners with mild-moderate learning difficulties
- Supporting with reading, scribing, wellbeing, encouragement and motivation
- Creating and reviewing SMART goals each term
What the Learning Coach Will Need:
- Previous experience with students who have learning difficulties or disabilities
- Understanding of Safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for one
Learning Support Assistants may support in the following areas:
- Communication Difficulties - BSL/Makaton
- PMLD & SEND (ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome etc.)
- Personal Care & Manual Handling (hoisting, toileting etc)
Successful applicants will be required to undergo a DBS check.
