We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating sheet Metal (SS) components and bodywork using various tools and equipment.
Duties
- Fabricate and Weld (MiG) sheet metal panels and components using design drawings
- Use hand tools, power tools, Guillotine and welding equipment proficiently
- Fitting and assembly
- Perform MiG welding, Oxi-acetylene and work with sheet metal (Mild)
- Apply mechanical fitting knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Experience
- Experience in MiG welding and fabrication
- Proficiency in using hand tools, rivet gun. power tools, Guillotine and welding equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Mechanical aptitude for problem-solving tasks
- Commercial vehicle body building beneficial
- Live within easy commute of the Croydon area
This is a full-time role, 45 hours week Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 5.30pm. Friday 7.00am to 12.00pm. There will be overtime available Friday afternoon which is at Time and a half
Rate £16.00 per hour (rising with experience) + Excellent Benefits including 31 days holiday, pension, productivity bonus and life Insurance.
