We are pleased to bring you a new Maintenance Engineer role for a level 2 or 3 qualified plumber for a world leading University based on one of their famous campuses in Denmark Hill, London. This organisation is one of the most prestigious Universities in the UK and offers outstanding higher education and research which is renowned across the world. This is a chance for a level 2 qualified maintenance plumber with mechanical plant room building services maintenance experience to join an in house estates team on a permanent basis. The hours for this role are 8-4 Monday - Friday which is only a 35 hour week. You will be responsible for undertaking Hard Services planned preventative and reactive maintenance across all College buildings in Denmark Hill.

In this building services maintenance plumbing role you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out the planned preventative maintenance programme and ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines, statutory acts and regulations. Update site-specific work schedules and re-programme regularly. Working and updating via a CAFM system
  • Taking specific responsibility for the maintenance and operation of the sites critical, HVAC services.
  • Maintain a Safe Systems of Work process and periodically update as may be required.
  • Conduct fault finding across all engineering infrastructures and maintain AHU, FCU, and mechanical plant room maintenance
  • Conduct statutory system & asset testing, and report accordingly.
  • Deal responsibly with emergencies and breakdowns.

Within this static maintenance role based in Denmark Hill, you will be working as a team and reporting to a great Manager who will encourage you to progress within your role.

For this maintenance engineering position we are looking for:

  • At least a Level 2 plumbing qualification as a minimum or a Mechanical Maintenance degree or NVQ
  • A proven track record of mechanical plant room PPMs and reactive maintenance
  • AHU maintenance experience
  • Experience of using a CAFM system and IT literate
  • IOSH would be desirable
  • Ideally you will be available at short notice to start this new permanent role
  • Ideally living within an easy commute of Denmark Hill
