Our client based in Cambridge are seeking a Finance Systems Assistant to join them in a permanent position, the salary based on skills and experience is circa £30k. Ideally they are looking for someone with experience in an Accountancy Qualification but a real interest in the systems side rather than the accountancy side.
As a Finance Systems Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to the finance team and ensuring the smooth operation of financial systems within the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting with the maintenance and administration of financial systems, including data entry, troubleshooting, and resolving issues as they arise.
- Collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Generating standard and ad-hoc financial reports and assisting with their analysis.
- Assisting with the implementation of system upgrades and enhancements.
- Conducting regular system audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors.
- Providing training and support to finance colleagues on the effective use of financial systems.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practises to continually improve system efficiency.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of financial processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in using financial systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively.
