Creative Team Lead

  • Annual Salary: Up to £50,000, negotiable + Bonus

My client, a successful retail consumer brand, is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Creative Team Lead to bring brand stories to life across various mediums including digital, print, packaging, and in-store environments. This role involves leading a small in-house creative team and collaborating closely with marketing, ecommerce, and product teams to ensure all outputs are considered, consistent, and on-brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day output of the in-house creative team, including graphic designers, photographers, and freelancers.
  • Oversee concept development and execution for campaigns, product launches, packaging, web, social media, and point-of-sale (POS) materials alongside the Marketing team.
  • Maintain and evolve the visual identity of the brand and its partner brands across all touchpoints.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and ecommerce teams to translate campaign briefs into compelling visual assets.
  • Ensure high-quality, consistent design that aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with our audience.
  • Manage creative workflow, deadlines, and priorities to ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide hands-on design input, from initial concepting to final artwork, when required.
  • Liaise with external suppliers such as printers, photographers, and stylists as needed.
  • Support creative development for trade shows, retailer presentations, and product packaging.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a creative/design role, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or management position.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing brand-led design across digital and print.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with tools like Figma or Canva.
  • Excellent visual storytelling skills with a strong sense of layout, typography, and colour.
  • Must have worked in a similar role within an agency or consumer products/retail/online/ecommerce sector
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to give and receive feedback effectively.
  • Experience in retail, ecommerce, or lifestyle brands is a plus.
  • Photography or video production experience is desirable but not essential.
