Project Support Officer

I am currently recruiting for a Project Support Officer on behalf of my client, a leading public sector organisation based in Leeds (LS1)

You will work on the Home Upgrade Grant 2 domestic retrofit scheme, where members of the public apply for energy efficiency grants, and if eligible, measures are installed in their homes including insulation and low carbon heating. The role would be responsible for all aspects of the administrative function.

Duties of the Project Support Officer will include:

  • Receiving proposals for energy efficiency improvements to homes from the client's contractor, scrutinising these and then either challenging or approving them.
  • Keeping track of proposed technical measures which have been approved and maintaining a register of these.
  • Development and maintenance of case tracking systems and expenditure
  • Contributing to reporting requirements and minuting of meetings
  • Providing project management assistance, including maintenance of risk registers and updating issues logs
  • Any other administrative or organisational functions required.

To be successful in this role as Project Support Officer, you will have:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to form positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency- desirable
  • Need to be highly organised
  • Be able to demonstrate a good level of experience working in a busy office environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar area of work
  • Supporting projects within the specified discipline or related field
  • Working with public sector projects- desirable

This is a full time post, 37 hours per week Monday-Friday, with a pay rate of £18.06 per hour (PAYE). This post is hybrid working.
