Are you an experienced Civil Estimator looking to take your career to the next level? Our client, a major engineering contractor, is seeking a Civil Estimator to join their team covering multiple water frameworks. This role is essential in ensuring that civil engineering projects are accurately estimated and financially viable.

You will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for various civil engineering projects, ensuring all financial aspects are carefully managed.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including materials, labour, and equipment.
  • Collaborating with project managers and engineers to define project requirements and cost parameters.
  • Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
  • Identifying potential risks and opportunities in project estimates, and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Preparing and submitting tender documents, ensuring all required information is included.
  • Conducting site visits to gather information and validate cost assumptions.
  • Monitoring and updating cost estimates as project conditions change.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Civil Estimator, preferably within the water or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams and clients.
