Marketing Manager

Working for a long-established and well-recognised consultancy near Marlow, you will join a dynamic and highly regarded team known for delivering innovative events, respected publications, and industry-leading research.

This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of a varied marketing portfolio that includes international events, print and digital media, and research products. You will plan and execute multi-channel campaigns, drive brand positioning, and lead marketing strategies that engage audiences worldwide.

The role offers a salary of £35,000-£40,000 per annum depending on experience, hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 working from home), and the chance to travel in the UK and internationally as part of your remit.

This is a fantastic role for an ambitious and self-motivated Marketing Manager ready to take the lead on an established brand while exploring new ways to reach and engage international audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the company's image in the marketplace and uphold brand values
  • Develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns to promote subscriptions, events, and publications
  • Plan media activity, negotiate rates, and measure response to maximise ROI
  • Build effective email marketing programmes with strong segmentation and targeting
  • Oversee data management and maintain clean, accurate subscription records
  • Evaluate live campaigns, troubleshoot issues, and optimise performance
  • Manage the company's online presence, including website updates, SEO, and social media strategy
  • Devise and implement marketing plans for international events and exhibitions
  • Identify and select internal and external data to target key audiences effectively
  • Manage paid search campaigns and track budgets
  • Produce clear reporting on marketing metrics and performance for the Managing Director
  • Lead development of online communities and engagement strategies
  • Work with editorial teams to create engaging content and topical features

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years' marketing experience across Events, Publishing, or Research portfolios
  • Background in direct marketing, ideally within conferences or a B2B environment
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, online product development, and new media
  • Understanding of database marketing principles
  • Experience managing campaigns across multiple channels and platforms
  • Skilled in working with creative agencies, printers, and external partners
  • Knowledge of CMS systems and web basics (HTML, JavaScript)
  • Proficiency with email marketing tools such as Mailchimp
  • Excellent writing skills for producing brochures, press releases, and marketing copy
  • Ability to combine creative thinking with data-driven decision making
  • A positive, proactive attitude and the confidence to drive forward new ideas
  • Fluency in a European language is desirable but not essential
