Equifind are excited to have joined up with a new Asset Management firm based in the City of London, who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the business.

We're looking for an aspiring Accountant, who is looking for their second role within Finance and has a hands-on background in their first role. You will assist with all finance matters from the ground up.

Long term, they see this as the ideal training ground for somebody who would like to continue studying towards their ACCA/CIMA exams; and ultimately become a qualified accountant for the business.

The Role:

The key responsibilities for this permanent Assistant Management Accountant role for a City of London based, Asset Management firm will be:

  • Assist with the preparation of the month-end management accounts for multiple entities including P&L and Balance Sheet reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budgeting and forecasting for the business.
  • Assist with the annual audit for all entities and be a contact point for the auditors.
  • Carry out quarterly VAT returns.
  • Be apart of the cash flow management.
  • Assist with the preparation of management reports for senior management.
  • Help improve the financial framework for the business, developing internal controls and policies.
  • Assist with various projects and ad-hoc work requested by senior management.
  • Responsible for ensuring invoices are paid and posted correctly on the accounting system.
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with all aspects of the production of Fund accounts.
  • Daily CASS client money reconciliation report and monthly CMAR returns.

Application Criteria:

To be considered for the role of permanent Assistant Management Accountant role with a City of London based, leading Asset Management firm, candidates should ideally be:

  • Organised
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Flexible
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Used to working to tight deadlines
  • Ideally a part-qualified accountant or has actively and successful completed accounting exams post education exemptions
  • Have an ambition or real desire to pursue the CIMA or ACCA qualification

Compensation:

The permanent Assistant Management Accountant role with a City of London based, Asset Management firm will be paid a competitive market based salary with full study support (CIMA, ACCA).

  • Hybrid working pattern. 3-days per week in the office. 2-days WFH, remotely
