Payroll Officer

We have an exciting role available for a dynamic and forward thinking Payroll Officer to join BES Utilities at our offices in Fleetwood.

The Payroll Officer is a key role within the Central Finance Department. Within this position you will have responsibility for all payroll's across a number of expanding businesses, providing support to the wider group.

You will ensure that a high quality, customer focused service is delivered to the business and to employees.

Role and Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Preparation of monthly payrolls
  • Processing payments
  • Monthly payroll reporting including headcount movements and overtime
  • Processing manual, pay adjustments.
  • Assisting with current payroll projects to improve the current payroll processes

Knowledge and skills:

  • Full payroll knowledge of employee status, PAYE, NI, Pensions
  • Understanding of payroll in a variety of Small / Medium sized owner managed businesses and preferably experience in a larger corporate style business
  • Self-starter, comfortable working under own direction and within the team
