Interim Assistant Accountant | Innovative AI Scale-Up | 6-months
The Client
Harmonic are delighted to be working with a well-funded and innovative AI Scale-Up to find them an Assistant Accountant initial on a contract basis, with the likelihood of going permanent thereafter.
Having recently raised a substantial Series C, our client are looking to bolster their UK finance team to help fuel their global expansion. With offices in London and across mainland Europe, they are looking to continue growing and dominating the space. Having developed an innovative AI solution that is already market proven, they are set on further development to ensure their service remains market leading.
The Role
The Assistant Accountant will work closely with the Finance Business Partner and be responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, credit control, and expense invoice approvals. They also want someone who can actively support the FBP with the month end close process, being hands on and very adaptable. this role will be very well suited to an enthusiastic candidate who is has an ability to hit the ground running in a new role.
Responsibilities
- Support the FBP on Month end.
- Manage Accounts Payable Function.
- Credit control.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable.
- Expense invoice approvals.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Essential Experience
- Qualified, Part Qualified or Qualified by experience Accountant
- Previous experience in finance.
- Strong Excel and finance systems skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and be organised to hit deadlines.
- Experience managing Accounts Payable as well as exposure to Accounts Receivable.
Bonus Experience
- Experience in an SME
- Interest and/or experience in Tech.
Day Rate: £150-£175 per day
Location: London (Hybrid, 3 days per week in office)
