Our client is looking for a temporary Process Operator for 3 months + and the role could become permanent. The role is based in Basingstoke and you will be working on a rotating split shift, 6.00am - 2.00pm/2.00pm - 10.00pm. You will be paid for all breaks so the weekly hours paid to you will be 40. There may be the possibility to earn overtime on top of the standard working hours.
There is free car parking and a subsidised canteen on site.
Responsibilities:
Safety
- Report unsafe acts through the raising, progression, and closure of Hazard Observation Cards.
- Complete on-site, off-site and iHasco safety training
- Report any near miss or accidents and be involved in investigation and process updates.
- Read, understand, and follow area and process risk assessments.
- Use and maintain all PPE and safety-related control equipment.
Quality
- Own role-based training via MasterControl and Power BI reports
- Follow area processes, SOP and Work Instructions, and escalate where current or best practice is not reflected in the documentation.
- Raise any non-conformances to the defined process via the In-Process Deviation or Incident process.
- Use Production Inspection forms to capture details of any defects identified and demonstrate control of quality.
Delivery
- Use Standard Work to ensure regular, required tasks are completed or support is required.
- Use Tier meetings to raise issues impacting delivery of plan and actions taken or support required.
- Use Tier meetings to escalate barriers to execution of daily work.
- Engage with colleagues to understand plan requirements and any likely issues.
- Monitor, track and regularly report to your area leadership team on your plan progression, taking action and escalating to prevent misses to the plan.
- Maintain area stock through timely allocation and stock management to ensure ability to meet planned requirements.
- Follow defined process to create a batch manufacturing record, print labels, use correct materials and equipment to create the required product.
- Use data collection techniques to quantify equipment performance issues to prioritise engineering support.
People
- Actively engage in regular performance and development conversations and act on feedback.
- Use PPI tools to improve area processes and working environment.
Experience, skills & abilities required:
We're looking for someone who:

Has good literacy and numeracy skills, demonstrates good attention to detail, the ability to follow written instructions, record data accurately and is comfortable using a computer, including e-mail.

Manufacturing experience is preferred, however, is not essential.
