Position Overview:
Our Client is currently seeking a Conveyancing Paralegal to join their conveyancing department in Fareham. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the management of residential property transactions under the guidance of experienced solicitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting solicitors in managing a caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
  • Conducting title checks, land registry searches, and other due diligence tasks to ensure the smooth progress of transactions.
  • Drafting legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements, with precision and attention to detail.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders to provide updates and facilitate communication throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Handling post-completion tasks, such as registration of title deeds and payment of stamp duty land tax, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate records, managing files, and updating case management systems to monitor progress and ensure efficiency.
  • Providing administrative support to solicitors and colleagues within the conveyancing department as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working as a conveyancing paralegal within a law firm or conveyancing department is essential.
  • Thorough understanding of residential conveyancing procedures, including experience with leasehold and freehold transactions.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Relevant legal qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
