Financial Controller £65,000-£75,000 + benefits Kingston
Overview:
Our client is a key division of a large global business with a network of operations across the world. They are now seeking to appoint a Financial Controller to lead a small team of transactional finance professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a qualified accountant, ensure the accurate and compliant recording of financial transactions alongside contributing to the overall finance operations.
- Manage financial controllership tasks and process standardisations.
- Supervise monthly and quarterly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies.
- Lead the preparation of financial reports including variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal financial policies.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Lead statutory accounts preparation, VAT and Corporation Tax reporting.
- Play an active role in FP&A activities providing variance explanations.
- Analyse inventory and margin reports and perform cost and profitability analytical studies.
Person Specification:
- At least 2-5 years' experience within a similar role.
- Degree in Accounting or Finance and Accountancy qualification.
- Proven leadership experience in managing accounting teams.
- Experience in financial controllership tasks allied to exposure to FP&A
- Experience with ERPs (SAGE, SAP etc)
- Comprehensive understanding of IFRS, local GAAP and financial compliance.
- Strategic hands-on business experience with accounting functions.
- Able to manipulate data.
