About the role

Working Monday to Friday, the Health & Safety Manger will plan, organise, direct, and control all activities related to H&S across Scottish network.

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing Risk Assessments
  • Conducting Accident and Near Miss Investigations
  • Conducting Safety Audits
  • Planning and measuring the effectiveness of internal and external quality audits.
  • Leading the site HACCP Team
  • Reviewing and updating the site Food Safety Manual to ensure procedures comply with current requirements.
  • Retaining BRC Accreditation (site specific)
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all QSHE legislation.
  • Overseeing the Business Continuity Plan
  • Analysis of accident statistics, identifying trends and implementing improvement plans

The Health & Safety Manager will oversee the Scottish Network, requiring flexibility for regular travel.

About you

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with robust knowledge and understanding of QHSE legislation and best practices. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving safety standards and safety culture, with the ability to motivate and influence the team. The role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in the QSHE field, experience managing and auditing quality systems, and the capability to complete accident investigations. Competence in writing risk assessments and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office, and PowerPoint are also essential. The successful candidate will be confident in challenging the status quo to drive improvements in health and safety culture and adept at building strong relationships with local management teams across Scotland.
