An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant at one of our Liverpool secondary schools. They require a Full-Time Learning Support Assistant to support students with special educational needs. The role will include a mixture of 1:1 and full classroom support
The position is to begin in September 2024 for the full academic year with a salary of £102.62 per day, term time only.
You will need to:-
- work collaboratively with the SENDCo and other members of staff;
- be responsible for making learning as accessible whilst being empathetic and patient, ensuring they are as engaged as much as possible.
- provide support, guidance, mentoring and training to ensure the individual achieves their full potential
- develop the students' emotional intelligence, relationship skills and resilience to prepare them for their next steps.
- support the student to develop effective organisational and learning skills
- support learning across a range of subjects

The successful applicant will need:-
- To have experience of working with young people with special education needs
- To be reliable and professional
- An enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- A CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
- The Legal right to work in the UK
