Are you a maintenance engineer with a strong background in mechanical machinery, ideally lathes? If so, we invite you to join our prestigious client, a manufacturing business located in Mildenhall.

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their Lathe Area Department, crucial in their production. With the companies growth trajectory, this role offers opportunities for career advancement within our dynamic company.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain 16 Multispindle Lathe Machines and associated equipment in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults with machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct necessary machine and equipment maintenance, including mechanical part replacement.
  • Utilise maintenance software for task management and updates.
  • Collaborate with Service Engineers during visits.
  • Ensure spare part availability for uninterrupted production.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Provide maintenance support across various business areas as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience with workshop machinery and equipment.
  • Proficiency in Production Machinery, particularly Lathe Machines, with 5-10 years in a maintenance role within a production environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for component replacement.
  • Self-disciplined, motivated, and adaptable to individual and team-based work.
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours and support other business areas.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across all personnel levels.
