Sales & Customer Service Associate

  • Annual Salary: Circa £26,000 plus OTE (once probation has passed, this will be discussed in-depth at interview)
  • Location: Enfield
  • Job Type: Full-time Permanent, office based - Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

We are looking for a dedicated Sales & Customer Service Associate to assist in achieving our sales, profit, and customer service targets.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for growing and developing new and lapsed accounts, managing customer service inquiries, and maintaining effective communications with internal and external teams to ensure maximum customer service levels are achieved.

Day to day of the role:

  • Grow and develop new and lapsed accounts within a defined portfolio against targets, collaborating with other sales staff to achieve maximum potential.
  • Analyse customer account reports, study trends, and identify ways to increase sales and margin, such as product switches to own brand and special offers.
  • Address all customer issues, queries, and requests for product and service information promptly, efficiently, and courteously, ensuring appropriate follow-up is completed where required.
  • Manage out-of-stock items by communicating with purchasing and advising customers accordingly.
  • Maintain effective communications and good working relationships with all internal and external teams, particularly operations, sales, stock control, and credit control.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, ideally in a telesales environment.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail, thoroughness, and a methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others and share information and resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong customer focus, with an understanding of the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Proactive and self-reliant with the initiative to monitor and manage own time effectively.
  • Adaptable, with effective planning and organisation skills.
  • Flexibility to work extra hours or help in areas outside of the role when needed.
