Procurement Manager (Construction) | Public Sector | £40,000-£54,000 | Cambridge | Hybrid
Castefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector organisation in Cambridgeshire looking to recruit a Procurement Manager on a perrmanent basis.
Within this role you will sit within the Estates team, working closely with project managers to contribute and deliver to the overall procurement strategy.
This role offers a hybrid working policy; 2 days in office, 3 days work from home.
The individual will be required to have at least 5 years experience within construction, with them having been previously exposed to a range of high value, strategic projects with the support of a Senior Procurement Manager.

Role overview:
- Lead on the development of the organisations procurement strategy
- Lead on drafting tender documentation, managing supplier contracts and organising evaluation meetings
- Be able to deliver on a number of high value/ high risk tender actvities
- Provide specialist knowledge in the application of all service contracts within the Estates team
- Ensure that all procurement and contract management activity is undertaken in accordance with agreed corporate procurement processes
- Engage with stakeholders and project managers to understand requirements
Individual:
- 5 years experience within Construction (essential)
- Understanding of procurement processes
- Ability to develop OJEU and under threshold tenders
