Hire & Logistics Administrator

  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week, flexible between 08:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday, and Saturdays on a rota basis 08:00 – 12:00

My client are seeking a methodical and personable Hire & Logistics Administrator to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have a keen attention to detail and be self-motivated to ensure smooth administration procedures at all times. This role is essential in meeting business needs and ensuring work is completed efficiently and promptly.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Booking and off-hiring vehicles through the fleet rental system to cover accident and staff needs.
  • Ensuring vehicles are available and ready for hire as required.
  • Reviewing current hiring, communicating with clients regarding extensions and terminations of hire periods.
  • Maximising fleet potential in communication with the sales manager.
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers for prompt delivery and off-hire of rental vehicles.
  • Resolving routine queries via telephone and email, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer communications.
  • Performing general ad hoc administrative duties.
  • Running daily Vehicle off road (VOR) reports for the company.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage tasks and prioritise workload.
  • Excellent telephone manner with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused with effective planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience in customer service and administrative roles, preferably within the fleet trade or daily rental sector.

  • Professional appearance and the ability to work as part of a team.
