Senior Engineer

Posted by Lovell .

Permanent - Full Time - 37.5 hours

Lovell are now on the lookout for a Senior Engineer to join their team in the North East.

Within the role, you'll oversee the management of all engineering aspects of the sites assigned to you. You'll have regular communication with and manage all external design consultants and continuously evaluate their designs to ensure adherence to best practices in value engineering. Demonstrating your knowledge of local policies for highway design requirements, you'll provide invaluable feasibility drainage and infrastructure proposals through assessment and consultation with statutory bodies and prepare abnormal schedules for each land opportunity. The Senior Engineer will also initiate enquiries, prepare cost schedules for approval and engage with 3rd party consultants as necessary and prepare financial forecasts related to infrastructure, inspection, legal and bond fees.

We'd like our Senior Engineer to hold a ONC/HNC in Civil Engineering and have significant experience of a similar role. Your experience will include new build housing and mean you have a strong working knowledge of local authority standards. With robust communication and interpersonal skills, you'll be comfortable liaising with engineering consultants as well as local authorities, statutory bodies, project clients, sub-contractors and supply chain, and have a strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures. Experience of using AutoCAD is desirable, but not essential.
