Premises and Facilities Manager

Are you an experienced Facilities Manager or Facilities Coordinator, looking for a new challenge?

We are recruiting for a Premises and Facilities Managerto join a company based in Central Worthing on a full-time basis. Hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). This role can either be worked on term time 35 weeks per year (hours 7:40am-4:40pm), or non-term time 17 weeks per year (hours 8:40am-4:15pm). The salary is between £28k-£30k per annum (DOE) and is a fully office-based position. Parking is available on a 1st come 1st serve basis and is located near Worthing train station and bus routes.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Highlighting the priorities for maintenance and repairs for the business
  • Managing premises budget and regularly review, as well as access to the premises and maintaining security
  • Ensuring Health and Safety guidelines are followed at all times
  • Building effective working relationships with colleagues
  • Understanding and operating relevant equipment and ICT software
  • Maintaining equipment, undertaking repairs and arranging for repairs and modifications to be carried out
  • Maintaining tidy and organised workspaces and supervising the cleaning of the premises
  • Participating in any performance-related appraisal arrangements made by the school
  • Managing staff including cleaners, agency staff, and contractors

To be successful for this opportunity, you must have experience of site maintenance within a similar environment, as well as working with contractors and managing COSHH. You must also have 5 GCSEs (9-5/ A*-C) including Math's and English, with strong IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
