Dynamic and creative design consultancy based in Surbiton requires an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join their team. Ideally you will have buildings and bridges experience as well as other structures - the firm work on a variety of civil/structural infrastructure projects including substation design for UK Power Networks and projects in the rail sector.

The firm is a 40 strong financially robust practice with major top name clients. You would have the chance to make a real impact on how this business grows, going forwards. They are a very social and friendly group at the office.
Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be attending meetings, site and dealing with clients as well as hands on design. Experience of hands on design, leading projects, mentoring staff and issuing of fee bids would be ideal.

Projects include design of large new footbridges over railways at stations, rail bridges, lineside services and structures, platform extensions, station refurbs, substation design, HV cable route design, renewables schemes, embankment and cutting works, depot buildings and structures. You must be experienced in both steel and concrete. There will also be some survey work involved and occasional unsociable hours.

Excellent communication skills and ability are required. You must be a good team player to be considered for this role. Collaboration is very important to this firm. The practice is flexible and friendly.

In addition to base salary there is 25 days holiday, healthcare, critical illness insurance, bonus, pension and work from home days if required.
