Technical Services Representative

My client are seeking a Technical Services Representative to join their team, providing exceptional service to both our customers and consumers, mainly in after sales. The role involves handling enquiries, processing orders on the SAP system and assisting visitors at our Business Experience Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service excellence, be well-versed in GDPR and security measures for sales and have the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide effective customer service support to external and internal customers via telephone or email, which may include three-way conversations.
  • Utilise exploded diagrams and Bills of Material to assist customers with spare parts enquiries.
  • Operate the Service Network, liaise with engineers and manage the booking of Service Repairs.
  • Handle approximately 60-80 customer calls/emails daily from Monday to Friday.
  • Prepare quotations and pro-forma invoices and support new business accounts.
  • Address invoice/collection queries and customer complaints.
  • Inform customers of any order delays and liaise with internal departments to ensure a smooth customer service process.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years customer service experience, preferably with retail (customer facing) experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Numerate with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive and able to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Previous experience using SAP is desirable.
