Assure Personnel are pleased to be supporting a fantastic client of ours based in Colchester, to recruit for a Business Development Manager. This is a key role and position within the business, and you will have the opportunity to progress within the business further. You will have a huge passion for sales and ideally a background within logistics.
The Role
- Sourcing new business with focus on attracting new clients who are based in the local area.
- Providing excellent customer service and identifying ways to grow the business and maximise revenue.
- Offering a national delivery service with excellent customer service levels
- Attracting new volumes from a wide range of new customers from a variety of industries.
- Attracting and converting new distribution customers that complement the business.
- Developing your knowledge to help identify and win contract clients.
- Engaging and communicating with customers via incoming enquiries, telesales, cold call visits, e-mail campaigns and marketing support.
Experience Required
- Experience in sales or account management, preferably within the logistics industry
- Proven track record in sales
- Customer facing experience in sales or account management
- CRM experience
- Ability to keep objectives and goals firmly in sight
