Job Title: 2nd / 3rd Line Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
About the Role:
Chapman Tate Associates are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and experienced 2nd / 3rd Line Engineer to join a dynamic and innovative IT team. Our client, a leader in the tech industry, is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable professional to support their IT infrastructure and contribute to their ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for Windows Server environments.
- Manage and maintain Azure cloud services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Administer and support Office 365 applications and services.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux systems.
- Implement and maintain IT infrastructure solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Cyber Essentials standards.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects.
- Document technical processes and procedures.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a 2nd / 3rd line support role.
- Expertise in Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and management.
- Solid understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Proficiency in Office 365 administration and support.
- Experience with Linux systems (preferably CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure components and best practices.
- Knowledge of Cyber Essentials framework and implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).
- Familiarity with ITIL practices.
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
