Machine Operator (Lamination) - Manufacturing

As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in running and maintaining various machines allocated by the shift supervisor. Your primary responsibilities will include operating machinery efficiently and safely, following production plans, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety procedures. You will be responsible for the professional set-up, operation, and monitoring of the laminating machine for the production of multi-layer composites. In addition, you will assist in the slitting of materials and support cross-training of other team members.
To succeed in this role, you must have a safety-driven mindset and be motivated and confident in your abilities. Basic numeric and literacy skills are essential for accurate data recording. You should also have the physical capability to handle heavy equipment and use electric pump trucks and forklifts. The ability to read and understand production plans and follow Standard Operating Procedures is critical. Basic computer knowledge is required, and proficiency in English is necessary for effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery efficiently and safely, adhering to quality and safety procedures.

- Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
- Support cross-training initiatives.
Essential Skills:

- Proficiency in using electric pump trucks and forklifts.

Benefits
- £15.30 - £17.29 - depending on experience & includes shift allowance
- 42.5 hours week, paid 42.5 hours (lunch is paid)
- 3 rotating shifts Mon-Fri 05:45 - 14:15, 13:45 - 22:15, 21:45 - 06:15 OR Mon - Wed - 18.00 - 06.00, Monday - Thursday 06.00 - 18.00, depending on the business need.

Work Schedule: 3-rotation or 2-rotation shift patterns, including the possibility of overtime.
