Your role as Senior Audit Manager:
Our client is looking for a proactive and talented individual to join their Cambridge-based team. As Senior Audit Manager, you will lead a portfolio of clients, ensuring high standards of service and compliance are met, and that client expectations are exceeded. In this role, you will:
- Oversee all aspects of audit work, from planning to completion, with a focus on commercial awareness and client impact
- Work directly with Partners and junior staff, providing support in business development and client relationship management
- Support the growth of the audit team, providing training and feedback to staff to ensure high performance and job satisfaction
- Engage in business development activities, attending networking events, preparing proposals, and developing new client relationships
What you'll need to succeed as Senior Audit Manager
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CA, or ACCA)
- Significant experience in external audit within a professional services environment, especially with mid-market and entrepreneurial clients
- A strong understanding of accounting and auditing standards, plus a commercial mindset to drive results
- A natural leader with proven ability to manage and motivate teams, ensuring they deliver their best work
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, Partners, and other professionals
