Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Responsible for cost saving and supporting the Senior Management Team
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure timely procurement of necessary items.
- Collaborate with the production, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and emerging suppliers.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyse purchasing data and generate reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile:
- CIPS Qualification (desirable)
- Experience as a Buyer, preferably in the food industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Problem solving abilities
