Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Personal Advisor for a Local Authority Client based in East London.
In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 18 to 25 as they transition to independent living and adulthood. You will provide guidance, advocacy, and practical assistance to empower young people to achieve their goals and overcome challenges.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
- Provide one-to-one support and advocacy for care-experienced young people aged 18 to 25, focusing on their individual needs, aspirations, and challenges.
- Assist young people in developing and implementing personalised pathway plans, setting goals, and accessing appropriate services and resources.
- Support young people in areas such as housing, education, employment, health, finance, and social connections.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including case notes, pathway plans, and progress reports.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Previous experience working with care-experienced young people or vulnerable populations, preferably in a leaving care or youth support capacity.
- Knowledge of leaving care legislation, policies, and procedures, with an understanding of the challenges faced by care leavers during the transition to independent living.
- Knowledge of educational pathways and resources available to care leavers.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk management plans.
What's on offer
Salary: £19ph+per hour
- may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week
