Job Description:
Year 2 Teaching Assistant required for Maternity cover in Sutton Coldfield.
We are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant to support a Year 2 class on behalf of our "Outstanding" Ofsted rated client.
Smart Education are looking for a hardworking and committed teaching assistant to cover maternity leave for a 9 – 12 month contract.
Previous experience of being a teaching assistant in primary school is desirable.
JOB ROLE:
As a teaching assistant you will:
- Support the class teacher with the development of the pupils educational and social needs.
- Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Support class teacher with resources and interventions.
DUTIES:
As a teaching assistant you will:
- Support the educational and social needs of our pupils
- Support initiatives decided by the class teacher
- Assist with providing a stimulating classroom environment
- report to class teacher on the development, progress and attainment of pupils;
- support class teacher in maintaining good order and discipline amongst pupils, in accordance with the school's behaviour policy;
- communicate and co-operate with the class teacher and specialists from outside agencies;

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
- £77 - £90 per day
- 8:15-3:30 Monday to Friday
- Sutton Coldfield
