They are a growing specialist manufacturer of bespoke and prestige motorhomes is based at Knottingley near Leeds / Wakefield, West Yorkshire. They provide revolutionary designs and their award-winning motorhomes are positioned at the premium end of the leisure vehicle market. It is a family run business with a small friendly team.
They currently have a fulltime (Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm) opportunity for a Bookkeeper reporting directly to the Finance Director. The role will include responsibility for the following:
- Management of sales ledger and purchase ledger
- Management of petty cash
- Management of credit card summaries
- Management of cash book
- All of the above involving reconciliation, posting & filing of invoices and agreement to Sage trial balance, bank statements etc
- Management of weekly payroll, fixed assets schedule, company vehicles schedule, stationery ordering & other ad-hoc tasks relating to managing an accounts office
To be successful in this role you will need experience of working in a similar bookkeeping role and ideally have knowledge of Sage Accounts or a similar software package – knowledge of Sage Manufacturing or a similar software package would be beneficial but is not essential. You will also need:
- The ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
- Good IT skills and a working knowledge of Sage Accounts and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel & outlook).
- A good telephone manner.
- To be trustworthy, punctual and reliable.
- A proactive approach & a detailed mindset.
- To be adaptable and prepared to learn new skills.
