Yard Operative

We are representing a client in the Bristol Avonmouth area who is seeking an experienced and motivated Yard Operative to join their rapidly growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety and efficiency of the yard operations, with a strong emphasis on exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Ensuring the cleanliness and preparation of equipment.
- Accurately checking and storing off-hired equipment.
- Maintaining clean and safe yard, workshop, and storage areas.
- Refuelling plant equipment and keeping precise fuel records.
- Enforcing the traffic management plan and overseeing vehicle movement.
- Providing hands-on support and assistance within the yard as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid FLT and IPAF certificates, with proficiency in safely operating fixed and mobile plant equipment.
- Experience in processing, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations and goods in/out processes.
- Specific waste/recycling industry experience is beneficial but not essential.
